Cost: $50 ($35 members)

1 week session M-Th, July 8-11
10:00 am – 12:00 pm (Ages 6-8)
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm (Ages 9-12)

Art camp is set up for those students eager to explore and learn about art. This is a unique camp, where students will venture into a different project each day. Projects will include a mixture of 2-D and 3-D art, such as found object sculpture, mixed media, and T-shirt painting. Make sure to bring your own t-shirt! Supply list is available when registering. “Figures of Speech” A Midwest Competitive exhibition is focused on giving artists the opportunity to turn all the classic “Figures of Speech” into works of fine art. See how artists turned “Birds of a feather flock together,” “The cat’s in the bag,” and many others into wonderful artwork!

Candid Anderson is a photo-documentary focused on, and dedicated to, the people of Anderson Indiana. In early September, 1998, American National Bank commissioned photographers Mary Ann Carter, Darlene Delbecq, Stephen Hill and Wilbur Montgomery to meet and photograph the people and places that make Anderson unique. Citizens were captured in candid poses, going about their everyday lives at work, at play and at home.

“Figures of Speech”

“Figures of Speech” A Midwest Competitive Exhibition Opening Reception

The Opening Reception and Awards Presentation for The ANDERSON Center for the Art’s 2^nd Midwest Competitive Exhibition “Figures of Speech” will be Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 4 – 6 p.m. Please join us for the opening of this wonderful exhibition.

The exhibition will be open from May 4^th to July 31^st, 2013.  The gallery hours are: Tuesday – Friday, 12 – 5 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday, 2 – 5 p.m. For more information visit our website at www.andersonart.org.

Winterfest

Winterfest this year at The Anderson Center for the Arts was a huge success! We greatly appreciated all of the wonderful volunteers, artists, and staff who helped make Winterfest such a wonderful event. Andersontown Powwow

Don’t forget to come check out The Anderson Center for the Arts booth at this year’s Andersontown Powwow, Saturday, September 8th, from 11 am – 11 pm or Sunday, September 9th from 11 am – 4 pm. The Anderson Center for the Arts will have a variety of Native American inspired art projects for children to make, that will help them learn about different Native American tribes and their traditions.
